What's the big idea?

As a result of only our pre-launch activities which commenced in January 2008, Axlan has already begun to cause quite a stir in the English teaching community here in Madrid. And we haven't even started yet!

This is just the first of an extensive list of on-line services that we have under development .

Axlan is a new type of Language Services company

• In part we operate like a franchise - offering freelancers a branded service package.
• In part we're like a co-operative - sharing help and information, seeking better conditions and better remuneration.
• In part we're like an agency, acting as an intermediary between the service supplier and client, providing an interface, a brand, and support services to both parties.

Did you say agency? I work directly with my clients!

That's fine, and your clients are yours, whether Axlan help you to find them or not. But sometimes a client wants to deal with an organisation who can supply more than one person, and that's when we might operate as an "agency". But, here's a very important point: Axlan keep only a small and declared percentage of the end-client fee. Ever wondered by how much agencies mark-up your service? With Axlan you will know exactly how much, because we'll tell you, and we'll stick to it. And that means that when we negotiate a better deal with the client, you and Axlan both benefit.

Axlan's business model

You might question how we can survive and how we can offer a quality service to the client if we retain such a low margin. The answer is: efficiency.

Axlan's founding philosophy encompasses three key concepts:

• a competitive price to the client,
• a highly competitive rate to the service provider,
• quality of service for all.

Through extensive use of web and related technologies we streamline the business process, indeed largely automating various elements that our competitors would do manually. The result is a highly efficient and scaleable business model.

Axlan is fully committed to providing the best possible levels of service, both to the client and to the provider. Because we pay the best rates, we attract the best people - a fact which further helps to ensure a high quality service to the end client.
